2004 GMC Envoy tailgate

My tailgate won't open and the tailgate window will not go up. I can hear the window click when I press the button to make it go up, but it just wont go up.

if you can reach the window see if it will pull up by hand, you might have a brokend cable or the motor is bad. or pull the cover off the tailgate as the sindow is down and look inside....i'm sure you will see if something is worng...
