2004 GMC Envoy rear tailgate

My DIC tells me to look at the manual-tailgate because I cannot lower or put my rear window up or down nor can i open the tailgate. How can I manually open the tail gate. It also says I need to reset my window but does not explain how?

What you need to do is remove the door panel to access the linkage. Chances are it came disconnected.
