I have noticed a lot of squeaking from the front in, and it rides rough. When I hit bumps it feels hard and squeaks more. I'm thinking I need new shocks in the front. If thats the case what do they run in price and is this something I can change or do you need special tools?

The shocks are contained in the coil spring, much like a strut. This requires a spring compressor to relieve the tension on the spring. Advise spring under a lot of tension and can cause personal injury if not compressed properly. Once spring is compressed you can remove the shock. Note the location of mounts and insulators to ensure they go back in the correct location. Also check your sway bar links they tend to make a squeak noise over bumps also
