2000 Jimmy/Envoy Fuel Gauge Problem

86K miles.
Wife's car.
When she fills it up, gauge reads full.
Then, gauge will read wherever it wants.
We just left a store and gauge read 3/4. 2 miles later pulling into our driveway it read 1/2.
Any recalls or anyone else have this problem and know the "fix"?
TIA

No thank you.
New sensor arrived.$64 plus shipping as opposed to $130 plus tax @ the STEALERSHIP.

Just waiting for my wife to burn off some fuel before I lower the tank. :D

Good job Jonny:

I have the same problem but my stealership told me the fuel sensor and the fuel pump are one unit and have to be replaced together for $750. I told them to forget it and use my odometer to know when to full up.

All stealerships can burn in Hell as far as I'm concerned.
I shopped around and got various answers from Stealers.
"Whole complete unit only= $575"
"$130 for the sensor"
"I don't give out part #'s" (hahahhahah "click")
