Shakes or Wobbles problem
2005 GMC Canyon Four Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles

When I reached a speed of 60 or more I have a front end shimmie. The steering wheel shakes so bad that I can hardly hold on to it. I had the tires checked, they are fine I changed the shocks on the front end, Changed the tire rods, inner and outter and changed the wheel assembly. But the shimmie is still there and didn't get any better. I didn't check the engine size because it is a 5 cyl. I hope that you can answer this question and give me some idea what to look for cause i really can't afford to take it to the garage. thank-you

HI there,

Thank you for the donation.

The problem will be in the drive line, steering or suspension. Is this a constant 4X4 or part time 4X4 (i am in Australia we do not have this version here) let me know and i will work out at test strategy for you.
