govner adjustment

:?: 96 gmc 3500 box van, x penske rental truck. use it for towing, live the hills whentrying to make run for the other side govner kicks in and slow you down, which inlong run makes it use more fuel. how can I adjust this to a higher speed?

There was a recall on that governer assembly. I have put on a lot of them. It won't hep your 6 or 7 mpg. Good luck
