Hi, I have problems with my truck, I was driving it and it said engine overheating.. then it said engine not at full power... I was close to home so I drove slowly home.. I did not want to stop because it was too cold out.. (-30 degrees celsius) then when I made it home... they radiator was boiling... sounding. Last year the truck did the same thing and the mechanic I have replaced the water pump... I am wondering if it is the water pump again... why is the truck doing this... is it a chronic things with this year and model? It has a vortec V8 enging in it ... thanks for all your help

You failed to mention that you change the thermostat, try changing the thermostat and tell me what happens.
