1997 GMC C3500 bang when going into reverse GMC P3500 duall

When driving along I hear wizzing, then when parking some times I hear kla-klang, I remember years ago with my 70 caddy the whizzing noise was the universal joints, and the drive shaft had to be balanced could the rear end need oil too? Please help !
