I replaced the speedometer head, with a used one, as both the speed and odometer didn't work. Everything is fine when ambient temperatures are very warm or hot. When cold the odometer does not light up but might do so if the dash is given a sharp rap. My mechanic says there must be some sort of thermal switch that is the problem. What's going on?
