I have a leak under the front passenger wheel And about a foot from the tire. It is red, and I'm told it is a transmission cooler line. Apparantly there are 3 of them. I was wondering how hard it is to change yourself. They tell me that it maybe one that is leaking, or could be all 3. I am a 46 yr old woman, and 20 yrs ago, I use to work as a service writer at ford. I know how service departments work. They try to hose you. I do have extended warranty and they say this is not covered. How do you tell yourself if 1 needs to be changed or 3? They say that it is going to cost me $180.00/ line. I live in Alberta Canada. Why wouldn't it be warranty? How do I know if they are ripping me off? Roughly, how much are these parts? If you have a picture of what it looks like, that would be great.
