I HAVE A 1994 GMC 2500 VAN 5.0L,WHEN I TURNT THE IGNITION SWITCK TO START THE VAN THE STARTER DIDN'T CRANK THE MOTOR. SO I TOOK A TEST LIGHT TO SEE IF I WAS GETTING ANY JUICE TO THE SOLENOID AND THE TEST LIGHT DIDN'T COME ON,COULD THAT BE A BAD IGNITION SWITCH OR IS MY NEUTRAL SWITCH BAD.I HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY AND THE HEADLIGHTS,RADIO,WIPERS ETC. ALL WORK.WHAT DO I DO TO TEST THE IGNITION SWITCH AND NUETRAL SWITCH.

Check the starter solinoid first, turn the key on use a srewdrver, or a piece of heavy gauge wire, ceoss the I and S terminals ont the thing on the top of the starter...did it start? if so replace the starter...KEEP clear of moving engine parts!
