1994 GMC C2500 oil filter housing

1994 GMC C2500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Need to know how to remove the oil filter housing from a 1994 GMC Sierra 2500 5.7L automatic. Do I need to just turn the housing counterclockwise?? - or is it more involved -- don't want to start cracking it counterclockwise if there are preliminary steps.

I am assuming that you have a leak? after removing the oil filter counterclockwise you will see two very small bolts probably 7/16 remove those bolts and the housing will come down from the block. Any other questions you have do not hesitate to ask me.
