I have asked even the GM guys this and can't get an answer.
The Parking Brake light is blinking. It blinks 5 times Short and One time long, then repeats continually. They are evenly spaced and deliberate. 5 short blinks and 1 longer one.

As far as I can tell, the brakes work fine, and the Parking Brake works fine as well. I also checked the shoes and they look fine too.

Before it started blinking, It stayed on steady for about a month. When I put the P-brake on, the light would get brighter, then when released, the light would dim slightly. At that point I thought it was a faulty switch. Then a week ago it started blinking incessantly.

Thanks for your help.

Hi:
Make sure the fluid is full in the master cylender. Now, the truck does have rear ABS. If what I read is correct, one of the sensors is bad. The dealership should be able to scan the system to identify which one is the problem.

For the heck of it, stop by an auto zone and see if something they can scan for you. It's usually free there.

Let me know what you find.
