1990 GMC C2500 stalling

Sometimes when leaving from a stand still, the engine has a stalling effect. This does not happin all the time. Also, when cold, the engine will idle high until I put it into gear then it will itle low.

Hi:
This type of problem could be caused by a sensor, vacuum leak... I recommend starting by having the computer scanned for codes. Most nationally recognized parts stores will do it for free.
Also, check for vacuum leaks.
