1989 GMC C2500 stalls

I have a 89 GMC van that stall in drive when ever you stop,this only happens in drive and the van will start right back up,

you did not give me sufficient description if you're van is carburetor or throttle body injection, but if you do me the favor of sending me the eighth digit on the VIN it will either be H or K tell me what it is
