I am going to help a friend replace brake pads on his 1999 1500. It has 4 wheel disc brakes. The only time I have worked on rear discs was on a Mustang and I needed a speciall spanner to back off the adjustment on the rear calipers.

Is there anything special I need to have in order to work on Chevy rear discs?

The emergency brake is integrated in the the rotor on the inside so there is no special tools required to reset the caliper.
