air bags with snow plow

I want to put a snow plow on my 97 gmc K1500.
I have an old Meyers plow that has the mounts behind the front bumber. Will this cause a problem and make my airbags go off if I hit a snow pile?
Can I diasable the airbag sysem some how?

I don't know if it will bother the air bags, ucually to trigger them they need to be hit...Pull the air bag fuse to disable...Pull the #10 fuse! Air bag light should stay on while the fuse is out. If you want to put it back in. to be safe disconnect neg cable wait two mins put fuse in!
