the reverse lights come on when i hit the brakes they also come on with the 4ways and the right directional what could cause this

Either the circuit boards for the tail light assemblies or you have a shorted wire in the trailer wiring. Disconnect the right side tail light completely and see if the left side works ok. if its ok then you know where to look
