2003 GMC C1500 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120k miles

service 4 wd message lights up also there is a lot of squeaking when excelerating, also the speedometer doesnt always work

If the light is on, there should be a code stored to identify the problem. The computer needs scanned to identify the problem. If I had to guess based on your description, I would say there is a problem with one of the speed sensors. Have that checked and let me know what you find.
