I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500. The engine (especially in the morning) revs and comes back down, revs, and comes back down.. etc... while sitting in the driveway warming up. This afternoon, the "service engine soon" light came on...

Thoughts? I'm thinking alternator...

Have it scanned for trouble codes. You might have a leaking intake manifold gasket.
