Do you have to remove the dash to replace the heater core? Is this a job for a novice to tackle?
Any special tools?

ARE YOU SURE YOUR HEATER CORE NEEDS TO BE CHANGED? ALOT OF TIMES THE HOSE GETS PLUGGED RIGHT WHERE THE RUBBER HOSE MEETS THE PLASTIC ON THE HEATER CORE UNDER THE HOOD. MINE DID THE SAME THING AND I CLEANED IT OUT AND THE HEAT WORKED FINE.

WHAT KIND OF PROBLEM ARE YOU HAVING? I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MINE, IT WOULD NOT BLOW HOT AIR, IT ENDED UP BEING PLUGGED UP WHERE THE RUBBER HEATER HOSE MEETS THE HEATER CORE ON THE FIREWALL UNDER THE HOOD. I CLEANED IT OUT AND IT WORKS FINE, THEY DO THAT EVERY NOW AND THEN.
