After truck sits for a day it almost starts but seems to be starving for fuel. It had a new fuel pump installed 2 yrs. ago. Has new plugs, wires, cap & rotor. After it runs for awhile, it will start right away? The second problem is that the shift lever will not come out of park when you step on the brake pedal? Also the brakes feel soft. The pedal goes nearly to the floor. I tried pumping the pedal but still feels soft. Any help would be appreciated. Thank u.

Fuel

Test the coolant temperature sensor-check the fuel pressure could be the fuel pump is failing.

Brakes: Check the brake master cylinder

Shifter w/n come out of park: Check the brake switch and the shift interlock solenoid.
