Is there any way of retreiving trouble codes without a scanner, such as the old way on some Chryslers you could turn the ignition switch from off to on three times ? The service engine soon light came on but there seems to be no change in idle, fuel milage, or anything else that I can tell. 1998 GMC K1500, 5.7 L, 79,000 miles. Thanks for any help.
