my 1997 gmc sierra has lost oil presure,other than the oil pump what could it be and how easy is it to fix ? thanks in advance

If the gauge reads no pressure, make sure all the wires are connected -- otherwise it is probably the oil pump. The oil pump should be replaced by a new one. The removal of the oil pan is necessary to access the pump..
