i have a 96 gmc pick up that died on me while driving, its not on the fuel related side i've checked all that. it starts up but it will idle really hard for about 5-15 seconds then die, i was wanting to know which part it could be that causes this? ckp sensor, egr valve, tps sensor, maf sensor, or maybe something different? ive also checked all of the distrib parts and ignition mod so its not that. keep in mind it died while driving and idles rough. thanks alot for any help

The first thing I would do would be to disconnect the EGR valve and see if it runs any better, then I would check the truck for a vacuum leak, most likely at the brake booster, how are the brake's? you can check it for a vacuum leak very simple, take a small propane torch and run it along the edge of the intake manifold, also check your throttle body, if it runs smooth. You've got a vacuum leak.
