1996 GMC C1500 Fuel injection system issue

Has new fuel pump, filter, dist. cap and rotor. Fuel pumps through new filter.

Fuel pump relay does energize.

Is there a simple method to check the fuel injection system and injectors to verify they are functioning correctly?

Do you hear the fuel pump for a few secs-If so check fuel pressure and injection pulses-If not check the fuel pump relay and fuse.
