Computer problem
1995 GMC C1500 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I changed out the dash in my 1995 GMC sierra 1500 when I put the gauge cluster back in it will not shift and it dont show what gear it is in and it takes off very slow like it is in 2nd or 3rd gear the only gauge that works is the gas gauge any ideals why this is happening thanks for any help Karl

it is obvious that you may have the wrong cluster, the transmission is computerized and runs off of the VISS, the speed control, which is connected to the speedometer and computer-controlled. If the speedometer does not work. The transmission will not work either.
