Me and my brotherinlaw put new intake gaskets in my 94 z71 and plugs and wires and distibutor cap and rotor and igntion module but it runs roufer now than it did before and smoke like crazy whatelse could it be

A couple of questions to ask you, what was the original reason you replaced the intake gasket, and did the tuneup.I would assume you did it for rough running, but did the motor smoke before the job was started? Did you find any evidence of intake gasket breaches?Any broken vacuum lines?Did any of the plugs show evidence of oil burning. Was a proper tightening sequence followed on the intake manifold. Were any of the passages(egr especially) blocked with carbon?
