1994 GMC C1500 Re-routing the Heater Coil (ANSWERED)

My 1994 GMC pickup is overheating and there is water dripping (sometimes pouring) into the passenger side floorboard. I think it is the heater coil.... at least that is the bonehead choice. I really can't afford to get it fixed right now so I was wondering if there was a way to re-route the water flow so that I can go back and forth to work. Is this possible?

That would be heater core. And yes this can be bypassed. There are two hoses going into the core through the firewall. Either 5/8" or 3/4" hoses. Get a brass nipple-dayco makes them. OR a flushing tee will also work if it has the odd leg with a cap.

remove the hoses, cut them if needbe and splice them together.
