Hi there,

In a word no! The converter is the link between the engine and the transmission, it is a fluid coupling and it also drives the transmission oil pump.

Do you mean catalytic converter? Yes it will run but the check engine light might come on.

Hmmm cat converter or Torque converter, well both your options are covered now, it just goes to show the more info we get the easier it gets for us.
