I have noticed that there is a lot of play in the steering column on my truck how do I make the proper adjustments?

You need to have the FE parts ckecked . Ball joints,tierods,idler arm,pitmanarm,and with that many miles the str box is most likley worn beyond any adjustment. Take it to your favorite mechanic and have him check the FE. Should give you a free estimate.
