How do I replace a fuel pump on a 1983 GMC 1500?

The fuel pump is on the lower right side of the engine, you will need to insert a jum bolt into the access hole near the pump to hold the actuation rod. Then remove the fuel line and the pump mounting bolts to remove the fuel pump, then reverse the order to install. Make sure you clean the gasket surface.
