I need to find out what needs to be changed or replaced to fix this problem. The symptoms are that the vehicle does not shift AT ALL. It goes in reverse fine with full power, but once I put it in Drive, no dice. Not a single shift. Car has brand new converter and fluids.

They are in the transmission. I believe yours will be mounted on the valve body.
