To better assist you is your model just the Tracker or the LSi and what is the engine size in liter.

We changed the throttle body gasket. No prob. But, it's still not running right. To answer your question, It's just a Geo Tracker. I don't know what liter the engine is only that it's a 4 cylinder and it's a standard. We are thinking that it's the map sensor but, really not sure? It's cutting out really bad and we've changed the brain box, plugs and going to change the map sensor tomorrow with our fingers crossed. But, would love to hear what you have to say on the matter? Any advice?

Hello

You may be able to find the engine in liter on a decal under the hood.

Have you pulled the codes to see if there is any.

You said you changed the plugs did you change the wires too, distributor cap and rotor?

What gap did you put the plugs and what type did you use.

Some other things that may cause this

Defective ignition wiring or connections fuel pressure vacuum leak.

When did it start doing this?

Well I was riding down the road one day and all of a sudden it just lost power and shut off. I tried to crank it and it wouldn't crank. So I put it in the shop and he changed the brain box and told us that we needed to put a throttle body gasket on it and it should run right. So we did and it still ran bad so my husband changed only the plugs. No wires or anything else. Then he checked the timing with a timing light and it was just fine. So he unplugged the hose from the map sensor and it ran a little better. But, still not like it was before it broke down. So tomarrow we are taking it back to the mechanic and he is going to hook it up to his computer to see if it shows anything. But, I'm beginning to lose faith in him. We are already out almost 1000 on it and it's still not running correctly. I am at my wits end with all of it. I just don't know what else to do.
