1992 Geo Tracker thought i fixed it

I just changed my fuel filter and in-tank fuel pump,and it was running for about a day then died again. What could be the problem? I dont think I hear the pump coming on.

was filter installed properly? if put on backwards it could restrict fuel and blow the pump.

check for power at the pump when the key is turned to the on position.

check fuses and relays.
