1992 Geo Tracker Clutch has gone soft and car won't shift u

Transmission problem
1992 Geo Tracker 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100k miles

My 92 geo trackers clutch has gone soft and i can only shift into gears when the car is off or at the exact moment (around2-3k rpm,) when u can shift without using a clutch... Any ideas?

Try bleeding the clutch slave don't work replace the clutch assembly

it is not a hydraulic clutch and I could not find any information on bleeding the clutch for this car. I saw a note in my service manual about setting the amount of play the clutch pedal has, could that be causing this problem? thanks again.

I see -okay just follow the procedures on adjusting the clutch free play as indicated in the repair manual to include the pedal height.
