Engine Mechanical problem
1990 Geo Storm 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

ok i have just replaced a motor in my geo storm and it runs pretty smooth but there was alot of white smoke so we started looking, and we found that there is very little oil on the first spark plug but not the rest and there is a lot of oil leaking out of the exhaust side of the motor, we think its a valve sealbut not sure...help please!

If there are wet, oily deposits at the sparking end of the plug then most likely fault would be worn bores/piston rings or valve guides; sometimes occurs (temporarily) during running-in period. Plugs can be re-used after a thorough cleaning.

if the oil is on the outside of the plug then most likely culprit is a leaking gasket or seal.
