How do I replace the drivers side front CV Axle

Hi
Need to get a tierod spliter and a ball joint seperator tool. Remove axle nut first then wheel ,caliper and mount. Drain some transaxle fluid. Remover tie rod end from spindle then lower ball joint. Brass hammer tap out axle from hub. Then place pry bar between inboard Cv and trans pop out shaft.

First thing, loosen the axle nut while the wheel is on the ground.
You don't need to separate the lower ball joint, you can remove the two bolts to the lower control arm and slide it out. You really don't need to separate the tie rod either, it makes a little easier, if you use a pickle fork you will likely tear the boot. Use a hammer and whack the knuckle part the stud goes through, this distorts the hole momentarily so the tie rod pops out, if its too tight put a jaws type puller on it, put some pressure on it then hit it.
If you loosen the strut mount nuts up top that will make it a bit easier to move the strut around. DO NOT loosen the nut in the middle, just the three outer.

Fill the transaxle upper hole with 10w-30 motor oil. Syn is the best.
