1995 Geo Prism Lsi, mileage over 150,000. I just bought the car from somebody who took great care of it; however, I've been told the cv joints are worn. What would you do?

I would turn the wheel all the way in either direction, then look at the axle were it goes thru the hub, in back there is a ribbed looking cover on the joint, is it split? grease all over the place? and does it make clicking noises when you turn while driving? If yes to these questions, replace it!
