When I get out of the car and pass the gas tank, I smell fumes. It doesn't matter when I drove 10 miles or 100 - I always smell fumes. I DON'T smell them inside the car and I DON'T semll them if I'm stopped at a traffic light with the window down.
I took it to Auto Zone and they said my engine was giving off a "loose gas cap" error code but my gas cap was properly tightened. I even bought a new gas cap just in case.
And I'm getting really good gas mileage so I don't think it's a leak.
Ideas?
