I just completed routine maintenance on my mother's 1995 Geo Prizm (oil, filter, air filter, etc.). I backed it out of the garage and it ran fine. I decided to spray the engine off. After starting it, it had a misfire. I figured I got water in the distributor cap. I took it off and it was indeed wet along with the spark plugs. I dried them all off but the misfire is still there. It is so bad now that after it warms up a little it will stall out and leave you stranded. What did I do?

You probably fried something in the distributor- Water acts as a conductor in electrical theory.

Do below and tell me what's missing fuel or spark

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors-
