1995 Geo Prizm left brake bulb change-out

can't get bulb fixture out of fender; pulled two screws and popped snap button on bottom outside, still won't come out. can't get to bulb from inside trunk. Don't have manuak; car was bought used. Please say what is next that i am missing. Thank you.

Most Prizm's bulbs are accessable from inside trunk, you have to pull carpet back to expose assy.
