my brake lights will stay on after car is turned off and then my gear shifter locked up not being able to shift out of park it is a automatic

The brake light issue is more than likely a brake switch, located on the brake pedal arm.

The shifting issue is probably related to the brake switch, or possibly the park/lock cable.
