How do you change the alternator

Disconnect neg. Battery cable.
Remove electrical connections from alt. (Plug and wire with bolt).
Loosen adjusting bolt and remove belt and bolt.
Loosen and remove lower bolt (alt. Bracket)

You may have to remove some components to make it easier to get to (windshield washer tank for example).

It is important to remove the neg. Battery cable FIRST. There are wires to the alt. That are hot all the time and if it would contact the body, you could cause a lot of damage.
