1992 Geo Prizm Brake lights

With the headlights off all three brake lights work correctly. With the headlights/tailights on the brake applied the brake lights go out however the cyclops eye come on.

Brakelight switch defective ?????

could be faulty brakelamp switch, headlamp switch or faulty ground / wiring to the headlamp or brakelamp switches.
