I have a 1990 geo prism 5 speed and while I was driving it just shut down on me. It cranks but doesnt turn over. Do u know what would cause this to happen?

Spray some starting fluid down throttle body, if engine runs a few seconds, it is fuel problem, if not ignition, most likely ignitor.
