1998 Geo Metro troubled starts, and highway stalls

Engine Performance problem
1998 Geo Metro Front Wheel Drive Manual 60000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Please help, my metro(3cyl. 1.0L) recently had trouble starting, after a few trys it does, but sounds "whinnyer" than before. Also on my way home today, I lost all power, (twice) and stalled to the side where after a few trys it started and went for a few miles. has always been a reliable car, but now I'm stuck please help

check the mass airflow sensor,and(airfilter/breather). also , you may want to check fuel pressure. are there any engine lights on?

did you ever get you geo fixed? mine does the same thing, these guys did not give any answers to your question that a civilian could use.
