1996 Geo Metro removing air bag

1996 Geo Metro Two Wheel Drive Manual 135000 miles

How do I remove the air bag module so that I can remove the steering wheel to replace the turn signal switch/headlight switch assembly? My Haynes manual says to remove the 4 screws at the back of the wheel, which are not there. It then says to remove the air bag module, but does not say how.

Hi there,

Air bag modules are extremely dangerous and should only be handled by qualified techs, serious injury can result if not handled with the utmost care, body static can set these off, i highly recommend that you get a qualified tech to do this work.
