I have a 1996 geo metro 1.0 3 cyl. With 142,000 miles. Im about sure it has a burnt valve. I still have a 1991 with same problem. Im trying to avoid the 250.00 dollar repair bill. Can a average guy pull this head?

Well with all the correct torque specs and detailed instructions this is possible. If there is any car you would want to start on for your first head gasket this is the car. It is small and limited parts are required for removal. If you are comfortable with your mechanical skills let me know and I can help walk you through it.
