I own a 1994 GEO Metro man. transm. 1.o l engine. The other day was driving on the highway and the car shut off. Tried to start back up - sounds like the engine wants to crank over but never actually does. Found a blown FI(fuel injector) fuse. Replaced the fuse and jumped the car - car would not start and blew the fi fuse. Then tried just replacing the fuse and not jumping the car - still will not start and blows the fuse again.
Came home and replaced the fuel injector relay. Still nothing and blown fi fuse. Then replaced the throttle body injector - still no start and keeps blowing the same fuse.
Any idea what I should do next? Had someone recommend replacing the ecm (engine control module) but I wanted to see if any one would be able to help me with advice before I spent money on something that doesn't fix the issue.
Thanks ahead of time.
